Local Man Charged With Selling Controlled Substance Too Close To School

A man pulled over by police is now facing a series of drug charges, including selling a controlled substance too close to a school.

Bethel Police in Pitt County say they stopped Rodney Wilson Jr. for a violation. Police found marijuana and roughly $4,000 in cash.

Wilson is charged with possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana, violating a noise ordinance, and manufacturing, selling or distributing drugs within a 1,000 feet of a school.

Wilson was booked into the Pitt County Detention Center under a $200,000 bond.
