Lenoir County Residents Busted For Pender County Meth Lab

Five Lenoir County residents are accused of running a meth lab that was found in Pender County.

Surf City police say they found the meth lab at a home on Cedar Avenue in Hampstead on Monday. Police say they seized lithium, sodium hydroxide, sulfuric acid and ammonium nitrate, along with as LP propane tanks and a generator.

Charged with manufacturing meth are: Justin Becton of Kinston, Christopher Grady of Pink Hill, Robert Tyndall of Deep Run, Porsha Malpass of La Grange, and Chelsea Cahoon of Kinston.

Police say all five are jailed on $75,000 bonds and say other charges are pending.
