Lenoir County Drug Bust In Grocery Store Parking Lot

Lenoir County lawmen seized more than 2,000 grams of cocaine with an estimated street value of $250,000 in a grocery store parking lot.

Officials intercepted the drug deal between people in both Lenoir and Robeson Counties.

Erick Lopez and Jose Pina of Deep Run, and Rolando Sanchez of Texas were all charged in the bust in Robeson County. Erick Speight of LaGrange was arrested at the Food Lion in LaGrange.

According to the Kinston Free Press, the second part of the drug deal was to take place at the grocery store.

If our government can find Bin Laden, then they can EASILY prevent drugs and people from being smuggled across our borders. Really...Think about it...

I say put a bullet it them and save the taxpayers from having to house these people. If the "drug war" is really a war, treat it as such and decimate the enemy. The only way you stop people from being involved is to get serious about the punishments.

Yea Scott that sounds like a real good idea, as long as it's not one of your family members, right? We, the tax payers are paying to house murderers and you want to shoot drug dealers. I agree that there should be stricter punishments but a bullet.......

I have no sympathy for drug dealers, family or not. Also, death row should mean death row. Maybe after a set amount of time, for any appeals or anything, then they are put down. Not die waiting execution.

There is a NC Law that persons in possession of illegal substances must pay tax on them. Tax on cocaine is $50.00 per gram. That would equal $100,000 to close the budget gap. Look it up http://www.dumblaws.com/law/168

Where is this story does it say they are from Mexico? I believe the story says they are from Deep Run and Texas. Just because someone has a spanish name does not mean they are from Mexico nor does it make them illegal. We will always have to "foot the bill" whether they are here or in Mexico
