Lejeune Corpsman Killed In Afghanistan

The Department of Defense has announced the death of a Navy Corpsman from Camp Lejeune.

Riley Gallinger-Long, of Cornelius, Oregon, died August 11 while conducting a dismounted patrol in the Marja district, Helmand province, Afghanistan. The 19-year-old was assigned to 1st Battalion, 6th Marines, Regimental Combat Team 1, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force at Camp Lejeune, N.C. 

No further details were given about Gallinger-Long's death.

    Rest in peace. Let's bring our boys and girls home from these senseless, meaningless wars. Our young service people are paying the price for our politicians' stupidity and greed.
