Court Date Set For Cesar Laurean Appeal Hearing

The appeal hearing for convicted killer Cesar Laurean is scheduled for next month.

Laurean is serving a life sentence for the 2007 murder of his pregnant marine comrade at Camp Lejeune, Maria Lauterbach. His lawyers are appealing his conviction, and says the court should have allowed the jury to consider a lesser charge than murder.

The Jacksonville Daily News reports Laurean's hearing will take place Nov. 16 in Raleigh.

Lesser charge than murder???? Let me guess, it was an accident that he killed her and the baby right? It was an accident that he tried to burn them in his back yard? And another accident that he took off for Mexico? It should be no accident that he rots in jail for the rest of his life.

They should have DNA tests done on the child, and when he sees it is his child he killed as well as an innocent woman he will rot in jail for it!

What can a lesser charge than murder be? In fact it should have been a double homocide.
