LAWYER: Man Will Admit Killing His Wife

An Onslow County man will apparently admit to killing his wife when jurors are selected for his trial this afternoon.

Soyer Moll is accused of strangling his wife, Virginia, and then burying her body in a shallow grave behind their home two years ago.

During pre-trial motions this morning, Moll's attorney read a statement from Moll, agreeing to let his lawyer say during jury selection that he did kill his wife. But Moll will not allow his lawyer to go into their defense strategy with potential jurors.

The couple had been married about a year, and the wife's body was found on their daughter's first birthday.

Virginia was my baby cousin. Growing up her name was pooh and you could ask her what she wanted to be when she grew up and all she wanted was to be a wife and a mommy. For this boy not man to do this to a girl that wouldn’t hurt a fly is despicable. I would love to see him get the death penalty but because of a glitch he will get life in prison without parole. I hope he rots and has a miserable rest of his sorry life! Their daughter is in the custody of his parents for some reason. I believe that they do not deserve to have that little girl. I think that Virginia’s oldest sister Amanda should have the little girl. Pooh rest in peace and watch your daughter remember that we love you and always will.

If you ask me, the trial is a waste of time. "Will admit"? He already did then... save the money and get a rope.

Something about the thought processes of people that find a divorce too expensive and messy, yet, criminal defense attorney costs followed by death penalty or life behind bars is OK! that I cannot understand... I will never understand democrats.

I don't think this has anything to do with politial affiliation or desire for a divorce either one. Murder is motivated by mental damage, not irreconcilable differences.

Being democrat is result of mental damage. Criminals, democrats, traitors, pigs- all synonymous. And, the word is "political" not 'politial' if you care.

What a jerk. My guess is the rotten apple didn't fall far from the rotten apple tree. Kids learn by example. I also hope his family DOES NOT get custody of any children that resulted from this marriage.

You can blame the tree that the apple fell from for mental illnesses.
