Kinston Teen Nabbed In Raleigh For 2010 Murder

A suspect wanted in one Kinston murder and for questioning in another was arrested in Raleigh overnight.

Jerrell Pridgen was arrested for the April murder of Rasheed Jones, a Kinston High School student who was gunned on North Independence Street. Police say the 17-year-old was also wanted for the shooting death of Tyrone Collins.

Pridgen was arrested at a home on Colleton Road in Raleigh around 1:30 a.m.and brought back to Kinston where he's being held without bond.

Two other teens were charged last year for Jones' murder which police said was gang related.

"Shocked N", you believe in fairy tales. There is the government and media dogma (misinformation) which completely ignores reality, then there is the way things really are. Crime statistics don't lie. Get a clue. The media and government tells us lies, hoping we won't realize that the majority are being victimized by the same small minority of people...over and over and over again. Some of us aren't stupid enough to believe the asinine babble that the government, the media and left wing, socialist manipulators spew.

I can't believe the negative sly remarks that are clearly race based. In 2011, I hope that people don't use appearance and stereotypes to justify behavior!

While it is unfortunate that this young person committed such terrible crimes, the name calling and negative comments aren't needed. I happen to know quite a few people who wear their hair locked and they are not criminals. One if them is a college professor and the other a doctor. To opinionated, some opinions need to be kept to yourself. Your remarks border on being extremely racist. Especially "they were not quite as violent then", to whom are you refering?

I agree I'm glad he was captured but what the heck is going on here?!?! First TC, how do you know that a child with dred locks is raised like a thug......what tells you that, his hairstyle?? And Anon how do you know his mom was a teen mom?!?! I'm confused. Let's just say we're glad that a criminal is caught because all of these ignorant remarks are making you all look quite stupid and uneducated!!

This is the ONLY reason I'm up for allowing state funds to pay for abortions in North Carolina. Let all these poor, ignorant, teenage mothers come and get it taken care of before it looks like that thing in the mugshot.
