The power is back on for 300 customers who were without it for less than an hour Monday morning.
Just before 8:30am, Kinston City officials say crews restored the electricity to customers.
The power went ou after a traffic accident on Pollock Street and Washington Avenue, when a car hit a power pole.

Instead of faulty equipment, it was a traffic accident on Washington Avenue and Pollock Streets in Kinston that caused the latest power outage. They say a vehicle hit a power pole.
Crews are working at this hour to restore electricity to the 300 customers affected.
Just last week, about 8,000 customers lost power after problems at the Hull Road substation, another 8,000 customers lost power in January due to the failure of a jumper at the Hull Road Substation.
