The games are winding down for the Kinston Indians and so far the future for the stadium that has been home to minor league baseball for more than 60 years is still unknown.

K-Tribe GM Ben Jones says he's hopeful there will be baseball in Kinston next year, but right now, he's hoping this year's team makes it to playoffs.

For 25 years the Kinston Indians have been playing ball at the historic Grainger Stadium, but that will soon come to an end. Next year the team will play in Zebulon.

Jones and his staff are working to find a new team, but so far there nothing is set in stone. "Next year is still up in the air, it's something we're working very hard on, we feel good about the direction we're heading, but there's still some dominoes that need to fall, still somethings that need to go our way, but hopefully we'll have some answers sooner than later.

Jones says there is still time to find a team to play in the 2012 season.

Kinston mayor B.J. Murphy says there will be baseball in Kinston, it's just a matter of whether it will be in time for 2012
