It appears a poultry processing company will be allowed to move forward with plans to build a processing plant in Nash County.
North Carolina Superior Court Judge Russell Duke Junior has derailed a lawsuit by 30 Nash and Wilson County residents trying to block Sanderson Farms from setting up that plant.
The judge found no evidence that Nash County violated normal zoning practices in approving the site for Sanderson Farms, as the residents claimed.
It is not yet known if the residents will appeal the judge's ruling.
