As for the 12U final series, Williamston needed to beat Edenton twice to advance to the state tournament.

Williamston led the first game of the District 7 final 7-3 and eventually held on to win 7-6 to force a winner-take-all game in the nightcap.

Game two was delayed twice by weather. The first delay came during the 3rd inning of a 2-2 game. The second and final delay took place just before 11pm when strong storms passed over the Chocowinity Sports Complex.

Williamston leads the decisive game 7-2 in the top of the 5th inning. The game will resume sometime Thursday evening.
