The case of a man accused of driving drunk and killing a teenager has been continued.

Jacob Beitz of Hampstead is facing 18 charges for the crash that killed Jacinta Fisher of Maysville. She was a 19-year-old college student.

After the Thanksgiving weekend crash, lawmen charged Beitz with felony death by motor vehicle, voluntary manslaughter, DWI, careless and reckless driving, among other crimes.

Beitz has been in custody ever since the fatal crash. He was scheduled to be in court today, but his case has been continued until March 5.
