Jacksonville' s No Need To Speed Campaign Nets 600+ Tickets, Arrests

The No Need to Speed campaign netted more than 450 speeding tickets in just one city.

The Jacksonville Police Department says from April 2nd through April 8th, Monday through Saturday, officers handed out 453 speeding tickets, 23 citations for driving with a license revoked, 12 seatbelt violations and had 7 driving while intoxicated arrests. The campaign turned up 638 citations and arrests total in 7 days in Jacksonville.

Law enforcement across the state took part in the no need to speed campaign which reminds drivers that obeying the speed limits saves gas, money, and lives.
