Jacksonville & Onslow County Use Latest Technology To Keep People Informed

One county here in the east is urging residents to take advantage of technology to keep up to date.

The city of Jacksonville and all of Onslow County are using what's known as "Connect C-T-Y." It allows the city of Jacksonville and the whole county to contact you by landline, email and even by text for emergency notifications in your area.

They can pinpoint neighborhoods to notify specific areas of flooding or other problems.

Jacksonville and Onslow County residents can sign up by heading to the city's website. Several other communities offer a similar service.

Click the link below to be redirected to the website for signing up.

It's all very similar to the WITN app you can add to your phone-- you can visit our website, witn.com to get news and weather updates sent straight to you.

A link to the page would be nice, I've done searches on the city's website and they have nothing listed for that.
