Building fees for reconstruction efforts in Jacksonville have been suspended.
City council unanimously approved the measure Tuesday night. It covers building permits, mobile home permits, mechanical, electrical, plumbing and demolition fees directly related to the storms. Those fees will be suspended through June 30th.
While applicants must still get the approved permits, the city will suspend the fees if the work is related to storm damage.
The city hope to get reimbursed for the suspended fees from FEMA.
