Jacksonville Murder Suspect Nabbed After Police Shootout

A suspect in a December murder in Jacksonville has been nabbed by New Jersey police after a shootout with officers.

Jamel Terry, a suspect in the December 23rd murder of Brandon Denby, was arrested Tuesday in Newark. Police say they got an anonymous tip was at a home and when they approached around 5:00 p.m. Terry fired at officers. They returned fire and police say Terry ran to a business across the street where he was arrested.

The 26-year-old is being held in a New Jersey jail until his return to North Carolina to face charges.

    they should have been using a 10 gauge Ithaca with three&a half inch buck shot.it leaves a nasty hole.

    What a moron! Shooting at police officers! I guess he is too stupid to realize he is just addind to his charges and means he will get NO lienacy from any judge. How stupid. Some people are there own worst enemy.
