Basic supplies are running low on some Eastern Carolina store shelves thanks to Hurricane Irene.
People are snatching up what bread, milk and bottles water they can find. Some stores can barely keep the shelves stocked before customers clean them out again.
Another hot commodity are batteries and flashlights.
