Increase In Reward Money For Arson Suspect

A donor has offered $1000 to add to the reward money to find the person responsible for several arsons in Beaufort county.

The Beaufort County Sheriff's Office says they will offer up to $2000 for the arrest and conviction of a suspect in eight unsolved arsons in the county since February 16.

If you have information, authorities urge you call (252) 974-6400. Crimestoppers only wants your information and not your name.

Last week, Beaufort county authorities charged 26-year-old Todd Jarvis of Bath with setting six fires in Beaufort county and a seventh in Washington county.

Three more fires were reported in Beaufort county in less then 24 hours on March 14th, less than a week after Jarvis was charged and released on bond.

Mr. Jarvis, if you don't have one of those ankle bracelet things on I suggest you call the sheriffs dept. and request one! Cause if you're not setting these fires I sure would want authorities to know I was sittin at home.
