INVESTIGATOR: Suspect Identified In Beaufort County Arson Fires

Investigators who are looking into a string of arson fires in Beaufort County say they now have a suspect in those fires.

Captain Kenneth Watson with the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office says while they have a suspect, they are not ready to release that person's name.

Since mid-February there have been 10 fires that authorities believe are connected in which abandoned homes, and two community centers have been targeted.

Watson says a fire today at an abandoned building off VOA Road was arson as well, but they do not believe this fire is connected to the others.

Can't wait to find out who. They need to be put in prison for a long time. They have wasted resources and put the lives of our fireman on the line while getting thier kicks !

Clifton go back and read the story again, it states that they are not divulging the name at this time! Perhaps they want to be sure of what they've got before calling names. Good idea, huh?

Clifton, just because the Sheriff's Office isn't releasing the name does not mean they haven't identified a suspect. I'm sure they have a good reason for not releasing the suspect's name at this time.
