Hundreds Received A Free Hot Meal This Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving Day has been just that for hundreds of needy people in the east..a day to give thanks.

Volunteers at The Little Willie Center in Greenville prepared a feast for more than 400 hundred people--people who would have otherwise gone without.

This is the 20th year the student mentoring organization has held the event.

Organizers say they had 18 different entrees on the menu, serving almost everything you can imagine, including turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, corn and of course dessert all for free.

People who had dinner there today say they're grateful for the service.

I was one of the volunteers there at the Little Willie Center, and I enjoy helping the needy and less fortunate, I spent money but that doesn't matter!!! Regardless of what it cost anybody, it was the thought that matters!!! So Wazzup, if money is all that matters to you, you will never be blessed!!!!

The Little Willie center has been providing hot food to needy families for a long time. To all of the kind voluteers who spent their holiday helping others, thank you! "Wazzup" please don't try to put a damper on the good will of those who are more fortuate than others. I consider myself upper middle class NOW; that wasnt the story when I was growing up. Be thankful you have enough money to pay for the internet...some of the people being served at the Little Willie center don't have enough money to have suitable shelter.

to "Wazzup," Please get a life and be grateful that you weren't one of the people who needed this free meal.... or, maybe you were? Why do people always have to be critical when something nice is done for others?

"Hundreds Received A Free Hot Meal This Thanksgiving" is a misleading headline. It might have been free to the ones who ate the meal, but the cooking and purchase of the food had to paid for in some/way/shape or form. So, a more correct headline might have been "Hundreds Enjoyed A Free Hot Meal This Thanksgiving At No Cost To Them".
