A Hindu temple in the Greenville was vandalized and it is not the first time.
Members tell WITN they were surprised to see what they found when they went inside their worship room. There was broken glass and a vandalized shrine area are at the 14th Street Hindu Temple in Greenville when members showed up Tuesday afternoon to turn on the heat. They also discovered nothing was taken. Members say the shrine area is where the gods and goddess' pictures sit along with candles and a small donation box.
"Looks like nothing was done besides destroying the shrine area, basically putting everything down. You see people walking here. We don't come with our shoes here, that is our basic principal so that makes us sad," said temple member Rajesh Verma.
Greenville police are investigating the vandalism.
