Troopers say there were two back-to-back collisions just before 8:00 pm Friday that slowed down traffic on Highway 11 between Grifton and Kinston for a couple of hours.
Troopers say two cars headed south collided, Eastcare stopped to assist, then a car headed the opposite direction stopped to help too. Troopers say that car was hit by a vehicle which was also rear-ended- causing a three -car pile up. Troopers say no one had serious injuries, but three people were taken to the hospital to be checked out and the road opened up just before 10:00 p.m.
Four of the drivers were charged.
