High School Celebrates 40 Years And New Renovations

A high school in Pitt county celebrated it's 40th anniversary Sunday and it also held a dedication ceremony for some newly renovated facilities.

Many current students, former students, and community members came out to celebrate.

D.H. Conley Principal Mary Carter said, "We're very excited because this is not only the dedication of a new facility here that includes a brand new gymnasium and other things like a cafeteria, but also this marks 40 years of history in southern Pitt county for the students and community of Conley."

School officials say over the last 40 years, approximately 12,000 students have graduated from D.H. Conley and approximately 500 teachers have taught at the school.
