Help Center In Need Itself

A center that helps families in need in the east is finding it is now in need.

The Vanceboro Christian Help Center has to throw out donations damaged by water, because they have to be kept in an open car port. They are also struggling with emptying shelves in their food pantry.

The center's director, Dottie Baker, says they rely 100% on donations from the community to feed and clothe the hundreds of families they help each month and says they also rely on their faith to keep the center going.

Baker says they couldn't stay afloat without area churches who donate to the center monthly and the schools that hold food drives for them, especially during the holidays.

They are always in need of non-perishable food items and volunteers.

The center can be reached at (252) 638-9817.

Sounds to me like the solution to their problem is some Rubbermaid containers.

What is an address or contact number to give items in need. We have a few things that our children have out grown, coats, shoes, pants, ect would like to pass them on. Any contact info would be great.

When the food supply is exausted in an area, animals move to another place (or stare to death). When the population becomes too much for an area, animals stop breeding. This keep newborns from suffering/dying, insures the species stays strong and reduces infighting. Humans are smarter than animals, aren't they? So why is this a problem?
