A helicopter from the New River Air Station made a precautionary emergency landing this afternoon outside of Jacksonville.
Air station spokeswoman Lt. Kristin Dalton says the UH-1N Huey helicopter landed safely around 1:30 p.m in a field. The six crewmembers on-board were not injured.
Sheriff Ed Brown says it happened on Gould Road, that's off Pony Farm Road. Brown says he understands the chopper was put down because of engine problems.
Dalton says the emergency landing is under investigation. The aircraft belongs to Marine Light Attack Helicopter Squadron 167.
