NEW INFO: Driver Charged With DWI After Head-on Collision

The driver of an SUV is charged with DWI after a head-on collision late Wednesday night in Pitt County.

The Highway Patrol say the collision happened just after 10:30 p.m. in front of the Silver Bullet, a bar that is southwest of Greenville on Highway 13.

Troopers say 20-year-old Daniel Cannon of Winterville was westbound on Highway 13 when he crossed the center line and hit another SUV head-on. That SUV turned over with two people inside.

Cannon is charged with DWI under the age of 21, careless and reckless driving and having an open container. Troopers say none of the injuries were life threatening.

Gare Stevens contacted WITN, saying he was in the SUV hit by Cannon. He says Cannon and a passenger were in a compact car.

haha. Just got around to looking at these posts from an "anonymous" user. Isn't it ironic how people are "anonymous" when they are talking trash about others. Man up, add your full name! While everyone else was having a productive conversation, "anonymous" took the time to talk directly and negatively about me. You can never get that time back...thanks for giving it to me "anonymous". lol.

So WITN is the driver of the suv who was actually driving a car and charged dwi still in jail or back home with just a slap on the wrist? Because I know him and he is a real loser with no hope. Why not give us some real true details in the story?
