Halloween Not A Washout For All Trick Or Treaters

Despite the rain, the little ones were out there early looking for a sugar rush.

Kids with Halloween buckets in hand were going house to house looking for sweet treats Monday night, some braving the rain. Parents dressed up with their kids and even pets took part in the festivities. While Halloween is definitely a time for fun, parents still have concerns about safety

"We've been coming about 5 years now in the same neighborhood, and its very safe over here," said parent Teresa Ward.

"They get excited and they run from house to house, so we try to make sure that they you know, watch for cars, and you know it helps if people are alert too. Hopefully they're watching for the trick or treaters," said parent Mark Cullinane.

We have reports from across Eastern Carolina of areas where people had a lot of trick or treaters, and in other areas there weren't many, possibly impacted by the rain.
