NEW INFO: Greenville Shooting Victim Arrested For Shooting In Craven County

Investigators with the Craven County Sheriff's Office say a Greenville man is a suspect in a shooting that they are investigating.

Detectives did not have specifics available, but said 20-year-old Rashawn Lewis was charged for firing a gun into a house in Craven County last weekend.

A Greeenville police report from last week says Lewis was the victim of a shooting with serious injuries. Further information provided by Sgt. Joe Friday, the public information officer for the Greenville Police Department, reveals Lewis says he was shot on W. 14th St. when he heard a gunshot. He then felt a pain in his foot and saw he had been shot there. Lewis told police he asked a stranger to take him to the hospital.

We checked Lewis's record, and he is a convicted felon. He was convicted in 2009 of possession of stolen goods, assault and accessory after the fact of a felony.
