Hey guys, The student robbed was my room mate. to clear things up...NO, he was not drunk and YES, he was with our other room mate (but he had nothing on him so he wasn't robbed, therefore he wasn't included in the report) Both were blindsided walking back from sheetz and jumped for a bit before my roommates wallet fell on the ground and they ran off with it. Yeah, It was dumb to be walking in that area that late, but they're fine and I pray this doesn't happen to anyone else.

Is this a real crime, or another drug addict ECU student claiming to be robbed? How many false robbery reports have ECU students been involved in? TOO many, but it keeps getting reporting like it is legitimate news. Maybe this one will be a real robbery! Also, how can the public assist, if the news reporter are afraid to state the race of the alleged robbers. The 11:00 news last night said, a grey sweat shirt or hoodie and a guy with dreadlocks. Good luck finding that criminal. I see all races with dreadlocks. Let report accurate news or no news at all.

I don't understand...if the 3 people were invisible how is it we know one had dreadlocks? They must have been invisible because if not, surely WITN (as a news organization) and the GPD (in an effort to protect and serve) would have reported the most obvious identifier, THE RACE... Yes it is important for the safety and welfare (not that kind of welfare) for the public at large to be able to help id the people who did this. I may have seen three people running from that area around that time One Carolina Blue guy and two green guys got in a white late model car with plates SBR-0213, etc. Oh well, just a thought.

Well, I am just thankful that ECU and other educational institutions have drilled into staff and students that they can't defend themselves by carrying any type of self-defense, not even pepper spray. Otherwise one of the thugs may have gotten hurt. Rob and rape away guys! You'll get no resistance from the sheep.

if you notice, most of this type of crime happens downtown, most of it happens after midnight, and most of it to people who are stupid enough to be out alone. So, how bout taking some responsibility. Don't be out drinking/partying... or use a buddy system... or, keep your butt at home. Sure the criminals are criminals, but they are looking for easy prey.

I think college students have rite to enjoy college life, the police need to focus on the thugs as much as they harrass the college kids.

With today's growing welfare & food stamp segment of society, it's not suprizing thugs expect others to give it up!

Mommy Warbucks has been sending her little precious to GVegas for 3 1/2 years ..... did any of you hear about that little problem in Chapel Hill last week? When their police didn't even bother to notify the student population that a rapist was on the loose? Unfortunately for all college students, crime is everywhere. I don't like reading about crime in Greenville, but am keenly aware that I also read about crime around UNC-CH, NCSU, etc.
