As I read the list I didn't see where there were any specific GANG related charges? Also saw where several had more than one outstanding warrant. Wondered how many warrants it takes to get Greenville police to arrest? And warrants for WHAT? Why release a list like this? What EXACTLY are these folks supposed to have done?

I HOPE U PEOPLE DON'T THINK THIS IS A START. THE COPS LOCK UP 33 PEOPLE AND THINK THEY HAVE DONE SOMETHING. WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY TRING TO FOOL US INTO THINKING THEY TAKEN ACTION AND GETTING SOMETHING DONE. NONE OF THE ARRESTS THVE NOTHING TO DO WITH THE VIOLENT CRIMES. PEOPLE DO NOT BE FOOLED THEY HAVE DONE NOTHING TO HELP THE PROBLEM THEY JUST ARE COSTING US MORE MONEY. I WOULD POST MY NAME BUT IF I DID I WOULD BE ARRESTED TONIGHT ON SOME STUPID CHARGE FOR NO REASION AND THEY WOULD ADD MY NAME TO THE LIST

To law enforcement. Great start, let the criminals, if guilty, pay the penalty for creating a monster in the area. You have my complete support. Stop them now or it will get worse. Thanks for your efforts.

Once again the police waste our time and money arresting a lot of people that have NOTHING TO DO WITH THE RECENT VIOLENT CRIMES! Good for you fuzz. You were good little gophers and arrested people for the sake of presenting a public image that your superiors aren't worthless. Sadly though they are. And as I've said before, nothing will change with these types of crimes here and the police will certainly fail to prevent it or respond appropriately because we are to busy arresting numerous non-violent "drug" dealers. Ooooohhhh cannibus, that's sooooo dangerous. Don't forget to take all those resources away from police that could be patroling the dangerous parts of greenville on a regular basis or actually helping the human trafficking problem. Oh wait I forgot that people get shot here on a regular basis so we need to bury our heads in the sand with crimes that hurt no one. Way to go.

G W Bush sent in the National Guard , The US ARMY to stop black gangs taking over bridges with guns and trying to collect $$$$$ toll money people in cars. - G W Bush sent in The US ARMY restore order. In New Orleans after the storm. Then the US Army controlled the city and city bridges. Goggle the facts? The US Army shoot outs & Police with Black Gangs. After the storm

Play the news report - The WITN news report states and said all those arrested were not in some gang. I very doubt any Whites like John Leggett arrested would be in Black gangs like the Bloods & Crips in Greenville NC. Send in the National Guard in 1 month all the Black gang members in Greenville NC. I hope get sent to GITMO

Ok, Ferg. There are a few problems with what you're asking here. First, the National Guard cannot be used as law enforcement under the Posse Comitatus Act of 1878. Second, US citizens charged for domestic crime are not eligible for detainment at Guantanamo Bay. Thanks for the laughs though.

Ignorance...SMH!!! For your information, there are plenty of Non-African American gang members across NC as well as the US. You referenced the Bloods and Crips. For the sake of not being long-winded, do your self a favor and search the NCDOC website and see for yourself just how many Whites, Latinos, Others, have been validated as Crips, Bloods, etc... I will admit that an overwhelming majority of local gang violence can be attributed to black male "gang" members, but to imply that because someone is "white" they can't possibly be in a gang is ludicrous...and I'm not talking about the rapper.

Until the prison system is reformed and sentences are expanded nothing will change.Going to prison is a "Rite of Passage" for the young criminals. No fear of it now.

The big shame is for non-criminals, college is a rite of passage. For one year's prison cost, we could send an 18 year old to college for a complete degree. Then one's career would make legit life more worth it than breaking the law. You can't fix the system by putting a trash can at the end of it.

Chief Anderson: Gentlemen the public is really upset about crime in G Vegas, so here is what I want you to do. I have a list of 33 names that we have just let walk the street until now. I want all of them arrested so the media will say we had a major round up of dangerous gang members. Now get out there and arrest them all!!! Yeah that will please them for a while. Sheep to the slaughter, ha, the public is so weak.

Unfortunately, because of the minor status of most of these violations, the vast majority of these thugs will be back on the street just in time for the clubs to open up this weekend...
