Greenville Drug Dealer Sentenced To Prison

The U.S. Attorney's Office says a drug dealer from Greenville is going to prison for several years.

Todd Shonte Tyson, 28, was sentenced to 18 years in prison. Tyson pleaded guilty in October to conspiring to distribute and possess with the intent to distribute 50 grams or more of crack cocaine and 500 grams or more of cocaine.

A federal grand jury indicted Tyson in September, along with co-defendants Katrell Marque Joyner, Larry Darnell Edwards and Tevia
Alondra Parrish.

Prosecutors say lawmen found more than 72 grams of crack cocaine in Tyson's bedroom, five grams of crack in a toilet, along with 182 grams of crack in a local motel that Tyson directed Parrish to rent.
