Greenville Drug Dealer Sentenced To Prison

The U.S. Attorney's Office says a drug dealer from Greenville is going to prison for several years.

Todd Shonte Tyson, 28, was sentenced to 18 years in prison. Tyson pleaded guilty in October to conspiring to distribute and possess with the intent to distribute 50 grams or more of crack cocaine and 500 grams or more of cocaine.

A federal grand jury indicted Tyson in September, along with co-defendants Katrell Marque Joyner, Larry Darnell Edwards and Tevia
Alondra Parrish.

Prosecutors say lawmen found more than 72 grams of crack cocaine in Tyson's bedroom, five grams of crack in a toilet, along with 182 grams of crack in a local motel that Tyson directed Parrish to rent.

I know him personally, I have known him since I was 16 years old and I would have never saw him for this. Sweet person would never hurt a fly or raised his voice. WOW it's just hard to picture Todd in this type of position I just can't imagine him in prison for 18 years. Wish him the best and may God be with him.

he made the bed along with new friends and this was the outcome. Stay in you own lane and do what u do, not what your NEW peers think u should do. Dont chase waterfalls!

Todd is a very respectful young man..1 bad choice does not DEFINE who he is...It's very easy to speculate when you don't have all the facts...the fact of the matter is todd has always "LOOKED OUT" for those in his circle, and anyone that he could help. "LOOKING OUT" for others is what he has done all of his adult life. Todd received such a harsh sentence because he was not willing to "SNITCH" so in my book he is and always will be a man of integrity because he is taking his time, dancing to the music or whateva you want to call it...One thing about it the last time i checked God is still capable of dividing numbers referring to (18 yrs)simplifying and reducing Todd's years..Because ain't nothing too hard for my God..

This is America, she can comment on anything she please. Keep your comment to yourself!! I bet you don't like the sound of that huh?? I have a question, have you ever bought drugs?? Doesnt matter if it's prescribed or not, it's still drugs!! As far as your "selling death on the street" comment....he's not the only one. I guess it's ok for the FDA and Pharmaceutical Companies to "sell death in the stores"...what a one track mind!! Enjoy your day! :))

I am glad ONE LESS ON THE STREETS, The cops need to look at all of this CRIMINALS family and will most likely find more drugs!! People you need to wake up and get off the pitty train...WHAT ABOUT IF HE SOLD CRACK TO YOUR CHILD? my point exactly...just put him in the chair and we save tax dollars!!!

This saddens me since we graduated together. Todd is a good person and has the sweetest mom. Its a shame that he got into this lifestyle since he seemed to have a bright future leaving high school. Even though he should get jail time, 18 yrs in prison is extremely harsh. You would've thought it was a murder trial w/ that sentence. I just pray for the family and that all parties involved get punished as well. Praying 4 u Todd!

Well what this young man did was wrong & he knew it so now he got too face the music, but i hate it for his parents cause his mother is the sweetest person you will ever meet & she has worked hard to raise him rite, but once you leave the nest you're on your own & the decisions you make from then on can either break you or make you so young people choose your path wisely....

I do not believe in breaking the law, I do not condone selling drugs, but I think it is a shame when a drug dealer gets more time then a rapist or murderer!!!

oh they are selling crack to provide for their families? why didn't you say so! Turn them all loose, they are martyrs for goodness sake! OH PLEASE! Contrary to popular belief there IS work out there, just have to get up and fight really hard and take what you can get until something better comes along!
