Greenville Utilities says 700 of their customers were without power Saturday afternoon.
They say the heavy rainstorm with winds gusting up to 60 miles per hour caused the outages, which peaked at 700 around 3:30 P.M. They say the majority of those customers were in the Stokes area, where a tree fell across a power line.
The roof of a mobile home in Pactolus blew off hitting power lines, causing outages for approximately 150 customers there. G.U.C. says a handful of outages affected customers in the Meadowbrook, Kings Crossroads and Charles Boulevard areas as well.
Power was restored to all customers by 4:30 P.M.
