We continue to follow the fake money trail in Greenville. Last week, we told you of at least 10 different reports of fake money being passed around, and just this week another rash of counterfeit cash has shown up again.

Fake money showed up twice at Thai Kitchen and Sushi Bar in Greenville. The owner says the same person came in twice and tried to pass a $10 bill as real money. He was successful the first day, but the second day, they were ready for him and tried to hold him there there until police arrived, but he left the store before officers could arrest him. This makes the sixth report made just this week. Greenville police say this is not uncommon.

"When this happens it generally runs in spells. So where somebody will print up an amount of money and we'll see a rash of counterfeit money being passed," said Greenville interim police chief Joe Bartlett.

Greenville police encourage shop owners to head to the Secret Service web site to find ways to spot fake money.
