NEW INFO: Armed Robbery Duo Strikes Greenville KFC

Police in Greenville say they are searching for a pair of crooks who ripped off a KFC restaurant at gunpoint.

Police tell us at 8:35 p.m., two men came into the restaurant at 2000 SE Greenville Boulevard.

Investigators said one man acted as a lookout while the other made the manager hand over money from the cash register.

Police say both men took off running after the robbery, and while canine units attempted to follow their trail, police could not find the duo.

Police say they are continuing to investigate this case.

Greenville officers responded to an armed robbery at the KFC on Greenville Boulevard Monday night.

The call came in a little after 8:30 that the KFC at 2000 Southeast Greenville Boulevard was held up by two suspects who got away.

One of the suspects may have been wearing a mask.

We're told they took off on foot.

There is not a description of the suspects at this time.

A check of our records shows this KFC has been robbed several times in recent years.

One person who commented on our Facebook page says she works at the fast food restaurant, but wasn't there today because she was in court as a witness to a previous robbery.

We will update the story as we get new information.
