A local man is waking up in jail Tuesday morning, accused of trying to sell or deliver drugs too close to an area school.

Pitt County Detention Center officers said 28-year-old Hector Corey was arrested by Greenville police Monday afternoon.

The Greenville man is facing 4 drug related charges, including manufacture, sell, deliver, or possession of drugs within a thousand feet of a school, plus possession of both cocaine and marijuana.

Corey's bond was set at $100,000 ahead of his first appearance in a Pitt County court. That is scheduled for Tuesday morning.
