A local fire station will be adding a new kind of truck to its fire-rescue fleet.
Greenville Fire-Rescue will be hosting a special truck dedication ceremony Wednesday at Greenville Fire Station 4 on Staton Road.
The ceremony will be from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
The team will be welcoming a new addition to its fire-rescue fleet, one with more abilities. The truck being added is a paramedic ambulance with firefighter capabilities.
Greenville Fire-Rescue is the second department in the nation to use this type of ambulance.
The dedication will also include a short demonstration of the truck's abilities and a 'ceremonial pushing' of the vehicle into the truck bay.
