NEW INFO: Bandaged Car B&E Suspect Injured In Police Chase

Police say a man wanted for fifty car break-ins was injured during a chase with officers. Phillip Person's mug shot shows his head with large bandages.

Greenville police said this morning that some of the 108 charges Person is currently facing include those from an ATM fraud WITN told you about on November 26th.

Police had released photos of the man at the ATM, saying he was on a bicycle, broke into a woman's car and then used her stolen credit card to get $80 cash out of the machine. Investigators now say Person was that man. Those pictures are posted as a slideshow by clicking on the story image.

The bond for the 21-year-old Person stood at $1 million Wednesday. Greenville police chased Person down after a car break-in Monday at the Met Deli on Red Banks Road.

Now police say they can link the man to a total of 50 vehicle break-ins in the city that date back to October. He's now charged with 50 counts of breaking into motor vehicles and 50 counts of larceny, as well as other charges.

Eighteen charges against Person are for breaking into cars. He's also facing larceny, financial card theft, gun theft and possession of drug paraphernalia charges, in addition to one count of resist, obstruct, and delay of a police officer.
