Greene County Woman Charged With Embezzling From Father's Business

A local woman is charged with embezzling money from a business, but not just any business, her own father's. To make family matters worse, this is not the first time she's been convicted of similar crimes.

Twenty-eight-year-old Rebecca Wade is facing charges in Greene county for felony embezzlement. The Kinston Free Press reports the Snow Hill woman is accused of stealing $13,000 from her dad's auto garage business, Wade Tire Service.

WITN checked with the Department of Corrections, it shows Wade was convicted of passing worthless checks in 2006 and forgery in 2007.

Wade is out of jail on bond right now.

So sad...keeping the family and daughter in my prayers...We do NOT know what has made this child steal from her father. And as a parent, I am sure he is suffering also. No judgement for anyone. Just prayers.

Family crisis are you kidding me, did she think she could get away with it this time. Wanted to long for prayers, she looked to be misguided along time ago. to the other comment...its depends on what the African American person did. Do you think its right that the couple that killed the Kinston lady with 2 small kids are not going to get the death penalty? I don't think so. And that is black and white.

Does not matter what color a person is. A thief is a thief.

It is funny how when you people know someone everyone should show compassion, but let a young black person do something then you want to hang them high.

I don't think anyone has said anything about race. Sounds like you are the one trying to play the race card.

Really---who said anything about race---but since u brought it up----u do the math----8 out of 10 most wanted and stories about all the crimes----committed are committed by a young black person-----most of the time!
