Beaufort- 5.2 inches
Sneads Ferry - 5 inches
Maysville - 5 inches
Midway Park- 5 inches
Richlands- 5 inches
Wallace - 5 inches
Kenansville- 4 inches
Havelock - 4 inches
Rose Hill - 4 inches
Stella- 3.2 inches
Cape Carteret - 3.1 inches
Harkers Island- 3 inches
Pink Hill - 3 inches
Morehead City- 2.8 inches
Atlantic Beach- 1.5 inches
Richlands- 1.5 inches
Trenton- 1.5 inches
Oriental - 1.1 inches
Mount Olive - 1 inch

Governor Beverly Perdue declared as state of emergency as snow continues fell over parts of Eastern Carolina.

Between midnight and noon Monday, state troopers responded to more than 1,100 calls for service.

    James and Lisa, you thought wrong. Declaring a state of emergency just allows the governor to exercise certain powers that they normally wouldn't be able to, and opens to door to federal assistance. Roads aren't necessarily closed to all but emergency traffic.

    I thought so too James. But like where I work, we work no matter what, the only day given off is Christmas day. I guess dog food is needed.

    I thought when you declare a state of emergeney everybody had to stay off the roads except for an emergeney.

    It says Maysville 5", Trenton 1½" Pollocksville being 3½" is about right.
