A little boy is alive because of a Good Samaritan at a crash scene in Onslow County Saturday.
Troopers tell WITN News Angelina Vasquez of Kinston and her two-year-old son were both hurt when their vehicle ran off the road to the right, hit a ditch, went airborne and flipped several times, landing on the roadway. It happened about 10 a.m. Saturday on Vine Swamp near Elm Grove Road.
Troopers say the child was not breathing at the scene, but a good samaritan came to the wreck and took care of the child until EMS arrived. The child has a severe leg injury but is listed in fair condition at Pitt County Memorial Hospital, where both he and his mother were flown.
There is no word what caused the crash.
