Goldsboro Store Robbed Again; Fourth Time Since Mid-December

A Goldsboro convenience store has been robbed again, the fourth time in about a month.

Police said The Pantry on East New Hope Road was robbed early Saturday morning by a lone gunman.

In the latest robbery a black man wearing a purple bandanna, gray hoodie and a black hat came in and demanded money.

Two days later the Handy Mart on Highway 70 West was also robbed and police believe the same man robbed that business, based on similar descriptions.

Since December 12th, The Pantry on East New Hope Road has been robbed a total of four times, two of those happened three days apart.

If they sit in the parking lot, the thieves will just go to the Hess station on the opposite corner. The Hess station must be paying protection money. lol

The owner needs to hire some clerks with concealed handgun permits, or at least someone with some self-defense training, and allow them to carry at work. If I didn't live so far away, I'd apply for a job...

I would gladly offer my services to the owners of the Pantry to provide security for the store, if they wish. Until we start standing up for ourselves, the thugs will contiue to take anything they want.

Some people dont know anything about what the police are doing to handle this. For your info my fiance is a police officer and has watched this store for hours while working. Its like a watched pot never boils.Of course nothing happened but they will eventually get caught.

Employees need to be packing. The robberies would come to a halt.

Maybe it's time to put a sub-station for Goldsboro Police at this store?
