Goldsboro Chief Retiring After 30 Years

A veteran lawmen here in Eastern Carolina is ending his career. Goldsboro Police Chief Tim Bell is retiring after 30 years with the department.

Bell announced his retirement late last year and a retirement party is planned Friday for the chief. His last official day on the job will be Tuesday.

Major Jeff Stewart, head of investigations will be interim police chief.

    Yea! I'm sooooooooooooooooooooooo glad that he is leaving he never treated the people with respect hope he enjoy sitting home and doing what he do ! :) :) :)

    about time, glad he is gone. He was a very unfriendly man. looked down on everyone and treated everybody that wasnt in law enforcement horribly. good riddance
