Gas Prices Jump Above $3

Gas prices are on the rise, with some prices already more than $3.00 per gallon for unleaded.

In Greenville, most of the prices we found were just under 3-dollars a gallon for unleaded, at $2.99. But one station we found is already at $3.01. Although most drivers we spoke with are unhappy with the price increase, they aren't surprised.
"It seems like when Christmas or any other holiday comes the prices just sky rocket because they know people are going to travel," said driver Don Flynn.

Both the national and state average are lower than the prices we found. The national average is $2.97 and state is $2.92.

REMEMBER: "the economy is improving" say it with me, "the economy is improving". Hey, "gasoline still cost less than a gallon of milk".

Lavon - Either way, you're still claiming to get over 80 miles per gallon since you say "it takes $18 to fill up and I drive 70 miles per day for 7 days before I have to fill up again". It's usually easy for someone like you to make baseless claims but since this one involves math you got caught in your lie.

When I say 18 dollars to fill up im not talking about from dead empty you knuckleheads, If it was dry then I would have to be towed to the pumps. Does your brain even work at all?

Show me one thing that does not go up when oil goes up. We've been drilling offshore for years. Why stop because of a spill? Do we stop driving because of a wreck? Do we stop eating because of a food scare? NOPE. Then keep on drilling.

OSOC, I will repeat. U are certifiable. I could post 10 million facts as I and any other person has in here and if it does not line up with your twisted and misconstrued belief system then we are wrong. And just for the record before you say it, I don't read Huffington Post, I've never visited or any of those other sites you so love to quote. I also don't worship FAUX news or any other network for that matter. And to Anonymous from earlier today, if you truly believe that Sarah Palin is smarter than Obama, wow, you really need to check yourself in somewhere. Let's put these two up to a debate. Heck, lets put her up against a US History and Political Science college student and see who wins. We'll see who truly knows this nation's history and we'll see just how much she doesn't know which will FAR outweigh what she does know. And, no coaching her beforehand. You'll see just how smart this "entertainer" truly is and what her qualifications aren't.

Lavon - You need to get a job with one of the US automakers because you've somehow figured out how to get 80 miles per gallon out of your $1000 vehicle. This just proves that libs can't tell the truth or don't know basic math or both.
