Crews have responded to a natural gas leak in Greenville.
Sue Hatch with Greenville Utilities says a construction crew hit a 2" gas main on Perkins Street near Norris street.
It happened around 9:00 a.m. Friday morning. Greenville Utilities shut off the gas at 9:20.
The line has been crimped and crews are now working to permanently fix it.
Police, gas crews, and fire and rescue responded. Several streets in the area were closed because of the leak.
