GPD Chief Updates 2 Death Investigations

Greenville Police Chief William Anderson released new information Thursday night about 2 death investigations.

At a new weekly press conference, Chief Anderson says a driver has been charged in the death of a mother who was killed on Greenville Boulevard after officers say a car pulled out in front of her. 18-year-old Sarah Drosendahl of Goldsboro was arrested and charged with misdemeanor death by motor vehicle in the crash that killed 33 year-old Takela Anderson of Greenville last November.

Chief Anderson also says the investigation into the death of Roy Kleber is expected to wrap up soon. His son, Kevin Kleber, originally called police January 6th and said a man entered his apartment on East 10th Street and shot his dad, but then later admitted to pulling the trigger.

"Our investigators are making some progress as far as the investigation goes we are still interviewing people and we hope to bring some closure to that case maybe in the next week or two," said Chief Anderson.

Anderson also said recent thefts of several cases of cigarettes could result in criminals trying to sell them on the streets to make money, and officers are watching for that kind of activity.
