Hundreds of people showed up at a scholarship fundraiser Tuesday night in efforts to make it easier on some students to attend Pitt Community College.
PCC hosted its 7th annual scholarship auction and dinner at Rock Springs.
Sophomore Madeline Cunningham says events like this make a difference. "It has helped a lot financially with my family and being able to come and have so much help with going to college and it's just a great opportunity and it has allowed me to pursue what I want to do."
The fundraiser has helped more than 24,000 students in the past 6 years.
