A former employee of a nursing home is accused of stealing a resident's debit card and using it around town. Lawmen say it's not the first time the woman has been accused of ID theft.
Barbara Motter is facing four counts of identity theft, three counts of financial transaction card fraud and a count of financial card theft.
Wayne County deputies say the woman was a former employee at Willow Creek Nursing Home. A resident there reported that his debit card had been stolen and used at various locations in Goldsboro to the tune of about $1,000.
The 24-year-old Motter was jailed on a $10,000 bond.
Last summer, deputies arrested the woman when she was working as a waitress.
They say while working at a restaurant she memorized account numbers on the victim's debit card and used it to pay her own bills and buy minutes on her cell phone.
Motter received a suspended sentence and community service on those charges.
