Flooding, Water Rescues & Evacuations In Farmville

Flooding has been going on in Farmville with several people being rescued from vehicles and homes.

Police Chief Donnie Greene tells WITN there have been ten water rescues from vehicles.

He also says they have rescued some people from homes as the water started to rise.

Some of those evacuations have occurred on Davis Street and Fifth Street.

Chief Greene did tell us that some of the water is beginning to recede in some areas.

Police are urging people to stay off the roads.
