Fire Causes Smoky Conditions At Camp Lejeune

Another fire was reported Wednesday morning and is causing smoky conditions at Camp Lejeune.

The marine corps sais a fire spanning 50 acres is burning adjacent to the G-10 training range. Overnight reports say there was heavy smoke on Mainside and French Creek and along Highway 172 on base.

Camp Lejeune says the base fire crews and forestry officials are working to contain the fire. The cause of the fire is unknown.

    Is this the same smoke that has over taken Eastern Washington this morning? And if so, is there any updates as to when the air will be clear?
