Facebook Site To Help People In Bertie County

A Facebook site has popped up to help victims of the deadly tornadoes in Bertie County.

By Monday night the site, "Pray For Bertie County," already had 2,500 people who "liked" the page.

The page serves as a place where people are offering up ways to help the devastated communities in Bertie County.

One person talked about collecting donations in the Weeksville area, while another talked about being a drop off site for Easter baskets for kids.

You can go to the page by heading to our Facebook page or clicking on the link below.

My sister Missy Croom created the page to get the word out because she wanted to do something good for these families and what better and faster way than to create a page on Facebook.... I am proud of her and I love her with all my heart... Sometimes things can get done faster if we as a family and comunnity stick together.... So please, continue to pray and donate to the victims of these devasting tornados that ripped apart these families.... We love and support you Bertie County....
